Scheduled for July 6, 2023, from 11 am to 1 pm Fiji Time, this webinar aims to engage participants from the Pacific region in a discussion on the region’s commitment to education and culture, which was a priority action statement during the Conference of Pacific Education Ministers (CPEM) held in Auckland in March this year.

Overall, the webinar seeks to inspire and motivate participants to actively contribute to advancing education and culture in the Pacific region. By promoting the Pacific Ministers’ commitments and creating a space for dialogue and collaboration, we hope to generate innovative solutions, promote inclusivity, and ultimately empower the Pacific community to achieve sustainable progress in these important sectors.

• Modality of embedding culture and traditions in school curriculum.
• Value of using Pacific indigenous languages in the earlier years of learning.
• Role of communities in the teaching of culture and traditions.
• Education as a mechanism for revitalising traditional knowledge and culture.
